Set Building
I have had the opportunity to work as a Set Director and Visual Arts Director for Monsoon Youth Education Project.
I don't just like to come up with worlds and put them on paper, I like to create them too!
The Little Mermaid JR
I was on staff as the Set Director for a youth musical theater production in my hometown. I was in charge of all things set related -- designing, constructing, you name it!
Below are some photos from the show. Everything on stage was built or designed by me!

The Building of Big Bertha
These 10' x 7' x 5' monstrosities were built completely from scratch. I utilized wood to create a solid base that was safe for a child to climb on. Then I used chicken wire and paper mache to specify the shape. After that, it was just a matter of making it look like an ocean rock!
Big Bertha has three unique sides. Ariel's Treasure trove, Ursula's Lair, and the open ocean! Each had a distinct color and texture palette, and would be rotated during the show to indicate location.
